1917 A postage due picture card with opt. 'CHINA' on KGV sent from Hong Kong to New York, USA. The overprint
stamps were only allowed for use in the Treaty Ports. Use in Hong Kong was incorrect, therefore, the stamp itself
was not cancelled but tied by postage due mark 'T' in circle alongside and 'HONG KONG' cds. When it arrived in
USA, USA postage due stamps 2c in pair was franked and tied with 'DUE/4/CENTS' postage due circle and 'NEW
YORK/19.6.17' arrival cds. Very fine. Photo

1938 (14 Nov.) A surcharged 1 1/2c on 1c brown on opt. 'CHINA' on KGV stationery pc from Kobe, Japan to England.
With extra Britain 1/2d green and 1d red alongside tied by 'KOBE/NIPPON' cds and framed 'PAQUEBOT' chop in
black. This example is the second copy discovered, posted the same date and addressed with the same frankings. A
philatelic item but still rare. No arrival marking. Fine. Yang P36. Photo
